Teatro Izcalli Performance in El Paso, Texas

I received this in my inbox this morning, which made my day. I will be attending the October 7th performance, super excited!

TEATRO IZCALLI
 will be performing their hilarious
“Teatro Izcalli Anthology”
for FREE at UTEP!

After 15 years of performing throughout the United States from as far as New York City to the lights of Las Vegas, Teatro Izcalli’s original Chicano comedy, political satire and educational actos (sketches) will hit the stage on:
October 7 & 8
Studio Theatre
1st Floor
Fox Fine Arts Center
SEATING IS FREE BUT LIMITED/FIRST COME FIRST SERVE
All shows are at 7:00 p.m.

After performing in the streets of San Diego, to hundreds of high school and college venues throughout the country, to opening the stage for prominent performers such as the San Francisco Mime Troupe and Culture Clash, “Teatro Izcalli Anthology” will highlight the most popular actos the troupe has been performing over the last 15 years.  Teatro Izcalli will also be celebrating the release of their book Nopal Boy and other Actos along with highlighting the work of Izcalli, Teatro Izcalli’s parent organization.  Since the two year release of their book it has now being used in four major universities and many high and middle schools in California.  The book recently received an English Award from the California English Teachers association for its contribution to literature.
